Entering its Eighth Annual, the CCV STARS "Shoot for the Stars" Tournament has become an annual destination for teams throughout Arizona and southwest region.  This year, over 200 teams are expected to register and participate.


Teams of every skillset enjoy the usual tremendous weather, competition and fantastic soccer facilities at the CCV Soccer Complex and Reach 11 Sports Complex.  


All AYSA, US Youth Soccer, USClub, and AYSO teams are welcome to participate.

The CCV STARS Tournament is a "Stay & Play" event for all teams requiring overnight lodging. 

The following two (2) hotel options are centrally located to the CCV Stars Sports Complex in Peoria and the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix.

GAMES:         Three (3) minimum
COACHING CONFLICTS:     If you are registering a team that has a Head Coach who also manages another team in your club that will also be participating in our tournament, we will do our very best to schedule games accordingly to through Got Soccer to avoid conflicts (Please note:  Although every effort will be made, there are no guarantees and these requests are for Head Coaches only.)

APPLICABLE RULES:     FIFA Laws of the Game shall apply as modified by the USYSA, CCV STARS Soccer Club, and the Arizona Youth Soccer Association as described herein.
 TIE BREAK CONTINGENCY:  At the end of bracket, or group play...  If two or more teams are tied, a Penalty Kick Shootout will occur to determine which team(s) advance and in what position.

ELIGIBLE TEAMS:         Developmental and Competitive Teams - Open to all AYSA, USSF, AYSO, USYSA and US Club soccer teams in good-standing with appropriate registration forms and player passes.

Foreign Teams:  Welcome to register with proper FIFA region or country issued player passes and documentation that each player has entered the United States legally via passport and proof of player insurance will be verified.
GUEST PLAYERS: Maximum four (4) per team. All guest players must be registered at team check in and each player must have a state approved loan form with all appropriate signatures in addition to having a player pass and Medical Release.  For the AYSA approved loan form (Arizona teams only):

NOTE:  Rosters will be "Frozen" upon conclusion of initial team check-in.  NO LOAN PLAYERS MAY BE ADDED FOLLOWING ANY TEAMS FIRST GAME.
ROSTER SIZE:     U-7 to U-8 (7v7) teams are limited to 12 players per team.
U-9 to U-11 (8v8) teams are limited to 14 players per team.
U-12 to U-14 (11v11) teams are limited to 18 players per team.
CREDENTIALS: All teams will be required to ensure that their rosters on gotsoccer are current and include all players including any Guest/Loan players for the CCV STARS Tournament no later than Monday, January 16, 2012.

In addition, the follwing items are required at team check-in

  • Players and coaches must present a laminated 2011-12 US Youth Soccer, US Club, or AYSO player pass with a picture.  
  • Official Roster Form from AYSA, or your state association
  • Guest/Loan Player Agreement (If applicable)
  • If out of state, Copy of each players Birth Certificates.

All foreign players must have a region-issued Player Pass, Government Issued ID Card, copy of each players Birth Certificate, proof of player insurance and a signed/notarized Medical Release Form.

NOTE:  Please have all player information (Passes, Medical Releases, and Birth Certificates if applicable) sorted in alphabetical order when presenting CCV Tournament Staff for team check-in. - Thank You
INITIAL TEAM CHECK-IN:
Team Check-in for all teams residing in Maricopa County will occur on the following date/time/location:

6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Check-in for all out-of-town teams located outside of Maricopa County will take place at the following location and time:

Friday, January 20th:
6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
CCV Peoria - Soccer Complex (Tournament Headquarters Tent)

(Registration will take place at the royal blue pop-up tent near the concessions area of the soccer complex located on the west side of the church complex.)

OR,

minimum 2 hours prior to your first game at the tournament headquarters tent at either the CCV Soccer Complex, or Reach 11. This is Mandatory.

All teams will be required to provide a final roster update on your team account at GotSoccer no later than Monday, January 16, 2011.  Loan/Guest Player information must be added to your team roster.  (Click here to log-in and update your GotSoccer Team Roster)

PRE-GAME TEAM CHECK-IN:
Teams MUST be ready to check in with the game officials at their game field 30 minutes prior to the start of each game.  At this time, player equipment will be inspected, player passes reviewed, and jersey numbers compared to team roster inspected.  The game official will retain the passes for the duration of the match.  Your team official is to make sure to get the passes back after each game from the game official.

Out-of-Town Teams:  Will not have a game scheduled for Friday night, January 20th unless otherwise requested.

INJURIES: If a major injury occurs that requires immediate medical attention, please do not hesitate, use a cell phone and call 911 or find the nearest Field Marshall at the soccer complex you are playing at.

Directions: Take Deer Valley Road west to Cave Creek Road. Turn left (South) on Deer Valley to the 101 Freeway. Turn left onto the 101 Freeway heading east. Take the first exit onto the Squaw Peak/51 Freeway going south. Take the Bell Road exit and turn left (East) to Paradise Valley Hospital on right-hand side.

For minor injuries such as a muscle pull, the tournament will have a booth at each soccer complex to assist.
DISLCAIMER: The CCV STARS Soccer Club will not be held responsible for any reason which may affect the game format.  In the event of tournament or division cancellation due to acts of God, inclement weather, or other reasons beyond the control of the CCV STARS Soccer Club, entry fees will not be refunded.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event of inclement weather, the CCV STARS will:

a. Update our website with pertinent information on a regular and consistent basis.

b. Correspond via email to the Coach and Team Manager of each team (If email addresses are entered into team profile on gotsoccer.com) with pertinent information on a consistent and as needed basis.
