CCV STARS offers flag football for the Spring 2010 season

Ages: Preschool (age 4) through 8th grade, boys and girls
Practices: One night a week beginning the week of March 8th; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings
Games: Friday nights
Game 1: March 19
Game 2: March 26
(No games April 2nd due to Easter weekend celebrations)
Game 3: April 9
Game 4: April 16
Game 5: April 23
Game 6: April 30
Game 7: May 7 Bowl Games
Cost:
$100
Registration deadline: February 21st at midnight.
The cost includes a practice shirt, game shirt, an award, and a mouth piece
(shorts and socks are not included)
TEAM FORMATION GUIDELINES:
Team formation will be based on the following:
Pre-school (age 4) and Kindergarten
1st grade and 2nd grade
3rd grade and 4th grade
5th grade and 6th grade
7th grade and 8th grade
A Repeat player can make a team request (same as last season) at the time of registration up to the maximum number of players allowed per team and if the registration is made prior to the deadline. If not enough roster spots are available then it will be on a first come first serve basis.
- Last year’s coach may or may not be back to coach this year. You are requesting to be placed on the “team” not necessarily with the same coach.
- A player may request a Team that he did not play for last season if there are spots available and within the deadline period for registration.
- A player with no Team requests can register for the “need a team” selection and be placed by the league. We will attempt to place you with others closest to your neighborhood.
- A player may request to play with another player. If these players do not have a specific Team request, then a “friend” request selection will be made and we will attempt to do our best.
NOTE:
1. “requests” are a good faith attempt to meet your needs but are not guaranteed.
2. Volunteer coaches will determine practice nights and times (according to field availability). Requests should be made knowing that you have proper flexibility in your schedule. Normally these dates and times are not determined until a few weeks prior to the start of practice.
3. The league reserves the right to expand the division ages as appropriate if there are not enough teams for pre-determined age groups.
Please select the age division that correctly corresponds with your childs school grade for the 2009/2010 school year.
